How You Can Help

We need your help to continue being effective, whether you represent a local government, a business, a nonprofit organization, or are an individual who supports our mission. CPSC encourages you to:

  • Join CPSC by completing the Pledge
  • Speak with a unified voice and advocate for statewide legislation
  • Pass EPR resolutions and adopt EPR plans and policies (as appropriate)

CPSC needs ongoing financial support to continue our two core activities:

  1. Build capacity and knowledge to bring about producer financed and managed systems for product discards, including those covered by the universal waste ban, and;
  2. Develop and encourage the use of practical EPR policy and educational tools, such as model ordinances and legislation, newsletters, articles, policy briefings and PowerPoint presentations.

1. Start Here: Could You Be a CPSC Associate, Partner or Stakeholder?

Associates are... Partners are... Stakeholders are...
Local governments, their associations and organizations related to solid waste, recycling, resource conservation, environmental protection, water quality, and other cross-media issues.

Associates must sign the
CPSC Pledge
.
Non-government organizations, individuals, and businesses across California who form a network supporting product stewardship and Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR).

Partners must sign the CPSC Pledge in support of our mission and endorse the framework principles for product stewardship policy.
Anyone interested in product stewardship, including concerned Californians, the press, producers, retailers, recyclers, and haulers.

Stakeholders do not sign the CPSC Pledge.
