Yolo Sharps Grant

17th Cycle Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) Grant

CalRecycle

The County of Yolo was awarded $197,000 from the CIWMB's 17th Cycle HHW grant program to implement a grant targeting Sharps and Universal Waste in Yolo County. The four incorporated cities of Woodland, Davis, West Sacramento and Winters are partnering with Yolo County, and CPSC is the primary contractor for implementing grant objectives 1 and 2, related to EPR education and Sharps outreach.

Yolo County will purchase and distribute 6,000 Sharps containers to Yolo residents. Containers will be made available at local hospitals, clinics, health facilities and other community locations.
